FUN & LEISURE IN SPIELBERG

Spielberg is known for the Red Bull Ring, but F1 does not happen every day. So what to do if fast machines aren’t racing around the circuit?

Kart racing

If you want to try, what it's like to race on your own, then you can experience this feeling right in the centre of Spielberg. Get behind the wheel of a go-kart and show your riding skills.

Hiking

Would you like to have the whole region in the palm of your hand? On the opposite side of town from the Red Bull Ring, there is a treetop trail with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. 

Railfan

If you are not a hiking type, but you would still like to have an overview of the landscape, and you also like trains, you can see a model of the surroundings with 700 m of train tracks and five stations.

History

If you want to give your ears and eyes a moment of peace, you can cross the hill to the nearby town of Seckau and visit the local Benedictine Abbey of Seckau, built in the middle of the 12th century. Luckily, the monastery still carries on the monastic tradition of alcohol distillation.

If you like cars, which you probably do, then you certainly should not miss the Volkswagen museum and its legendary beetles. There are two groups of people, those who love Beetles and those who were in the "Beetle" museum.
